A boxers attitude - state of mind.

I see and hear about David Haye a fighter that once got beat, i think also ko'd then becomes champion.

Freddie Pendalton a one time losing record and a journyman fighter for fighters comin up, then becomes champion.

Junior Witter ran a marathon against Judah, now is champion.

Does anyone else see this? To me its seems like its all in the state of mind a fighter is in which he excells. I guess you can kind of compare it do depression then you snap out of it. I just find the triumph of these fighters to be a great story for the under dog.

I just think it really is true what they say, "boxing is 90 percent mental, 10 percent physical." The mind can over come what is lacking or push you to excell?

Throw in Billy Backus, Carlos Baldomir. Sometimes it is also getting lucky.

As a sidenote, I am disgusted by "fans" who ditch "their" fighters, if they get an L on the record. ALL the great oldtimers (minus Marciano) had losses on their records. Today a fightter with a loss instantly becomes a bum... bull****.

Totally forgot those fighters. And i aggree. Whats funny is that some people here are still upset that Margarito still has his fans even after losing.

Throw in Pacquiao. Lost 2 fights early in his career and is considered one of the best fights now.

Barrera too. Everyone thought he was done after Junior Jones.
