From ESPN:
Junior lightweight phenom Yuriorkis Gamboa (8-0, 7 KOs), a 2004 Cuban Olympic gold medalist now fighting out of Germany, is on the fast track as Arena-Box Promotions has mapped out an ambitious and busy schedule for the electrifying prospect who turned pro last April. Gamboa will fight twice this month on "Friday Night Fights" (ESPN2), Feb. 8 and Feb. 22, although his opponents keep changing because it's so hard to find someone to fight him. If Gamboa is successful, he's headed for Showtime's "ShoBox" April 11 against Jose Rojas (24-6-1, 16 KOs), who is 0-3-1 in junior featherweight and featherweight world title bouts, including a decision loss to featherweight titlist Chris John in a rematch last March. He also has a technical draw against John.
Wow, two fights in two weeks! Almost like a modern-day Harry Greb.
