Lee in Talks For Kelly Pavlik-John Duddy Winner

Following Andy Lee's fifth-round stoppage of Alejandro Falliga in Limerick, Ireland, trainer and manager Emanuel Steward told the live television audience on RTE that he is in talks for Lee (15-0, 12KOs) to fight the winner of Kelly Pavlik's upcoming middleweight title defense against "Irish" John Duddy on June 7. LOL... wow.

So apparantly Pavlik is lining up a third opponent now?

Kind of strange, because the Taylor bout is far from a gimme, and I've heard Duddy has a chance too.

Nah,i think Pavlik will win by 4th round KO,thats how wide open and easy it is to hit Duddy at will, not to mention he has been rocked before and doesnt have the type of KO power to back of Pavlik,Pavlik wins the Duddy fight

I dont think Lee is ready for Kelly,i think he should fight Zuniga or Giovanni Lorrenzo first

duddy does have a chance, he looks like abit of a smackhead but hes a solid fighter, i don't think this fight will come through to be honest it may be just a back up fight if things don't turn out well for pavlik. but andy lee is a dangerous opponent for anyon,e alot of respect if pavlik does meet him.

That would be REDICULOUS. Pavlik deserves an easy fight, he has earned it. So let him have his fun with Duddy. But ANOTHER showcase fight against Lee would be disgusting. It really would.

I can garuntee you guys that this LEE character is no where near Pavliks level at the moment, it wouldnt last 5 rounds, Duddy would definetly last longer, and Pavlik should DEFINETLY be taking on Abraham in a unification bout toward the end of the year.

The Duddy fight is a middleweight title defense, even if he loses to Taylor he still has the middleweight title. I don't think he's getting ahead of himself, if he loses to Duddy (which I highly doubt) he won't even be fighting the Lee fight.

To be perfectly honest, and i swear im not being biased, Lee has never faced anyone on the level of even a ZUNIGA.

Zuniga is a hell of a fighter. Really tough, throws so many punches, and has a great chin. I would definetly go with Zuniga in that fight, but its at least a fight Lee could win.

Now a very good step up opponent for Lee would be Jose Luis Zertuche. He throws wide winging shots and is easy to hit. He is made for Lee's style. Thats a fight where he could win impressively.

Pav Licks Will Lose This Year

So basically by the end of the year...Pav licks will have beaten Taylor, John the Dud and Lee.

I'm tired of this nonsense, he has been overrated.

Taylor stops him in the rematch because his chin is **** (see Zuniga, McKart, Berburch & Taylor for details)

Pav licks will stop that circus act John the Dud

And Lee.....SWEET JESUS, LEE GOING TO WORK HIM

He doesn't stand a chance against Lee because unlike Smelly, Lee can punch and BOX!!!!

the taylor bout has no real bearing on what Pavlik will do as a middle weight with his belts. To me the real story is Steward trying to line Lee up way to early against Pavlik. Its an incredible risk against a destroyer of a champion and could potentially be the ruination of Andy Lee.
