    It was a good fight.
Campas was coming forward, eating punches but his age showed. He couldn't keep it up for full rounds and had moments of inactiveness when he was just standing still, eating jabs.
Campas had success inside where Asikainen seemed lost.

It was a close fight but Asikainen took control of the fight in the 6th with good counter punching and refused to go inside where Campas had the advantage. Campas seemed to have lost the will to go forward eating shots to get there.

Asikainen landed a good right and left combination in the 7th round that had Campas stunned. Asikainen followed it up with a few missed punches and then landed another good right and the referee stopped the fight.

Campas wasn't too happy with the stoppage and it was a bit early considering the way Campas can take punches and still keep coming.

But at his age, after all the fights he has had there is no real reason for him to take any more punishment.

Damn, even in old form Campas still can't be taken off his feet, probably never will. He has one of the greatest beards i've ever seen.

nah hes got a good chin but its nothing truly "special"

He gets hurt a lot. Duddy straggered him once in the 8th pretty good. Trinidad and De La Hoya got to him. Its just his amazing heart and will power that will never let him hit the canvas if he has anything to do with it

Asikainen said his hands hurt everytime he hit Campas.

Campas is a tough dude but sometimes that does more harm than good. There's no real reason for him to fight anymore.
