Darchinyan -vs- Z Gorres ~Who Wins Tomorrow??

12-Rounds - IBF Super Flyweight Title Eliminator

Protagonists Vic Darchinyan and Z Gorres both easily made the limit moments ago during the official weigh-in of their much-anticipated bout. Both Darchinyan and Gorres weighed in at 115-lbs. The weigh-in was held at the posh Waterfront Hotel in Cebu. Darchinyan and Gorres will slug it out for 12-rounds in an IBF world superflyweight title eliminator tomorrow also at the Waterfront Hotel. Both fighters will use the Cleto Reyes gloves. Gorres is coming off an 8th round TKO win over former world champion Eric Ortiz of Mexico August of last year in Sacramento, California. Darchinyan, a former world flyweight champion, scored a win in his last fight against Filipino journeyman Federico Catubay in Australia.

I heard Vic had a good reception in the islands. He was surprised by it...being a Pinoy assassin.

Anybody know if this televised somewhere (net ot TV) for us U.S. viewers?

I think we're going to have to download it afterward in the states. Anyway, Vic by KO. I don't think Gorres can hurt him and I don't know how easy it would be to decision Vic. I feel like you could be way out in front and he'd KO you in round 10 or so anyway. I don't know if anyone at that weight other than maybe Mijaries can last to beat him by decision. He can be KO'd for sure though by others.

em gonna be on the fight night...

on weight in... Gorres is drained... I can see it on his face...

for me the fight is a toss up.. its either Vic by KO or Gorres by a boxing clinic.

This picture of JMM makes it very difficult to take him seriously. If he wansn't so good it would be impossible.

                Fix that for you.

As far as Vic vs Gorrez, i will be rooting for Z. But with the KO power, taller, and Z getting hurt by Montiel, i see Vic winning this fight. Z needs to box. Let Vic stalk him then counter punch him.

                  Darchinyan by KO before 10

... he has been training and gettin ready for this like crazy.. he knows full well it would be real tough to pull off a decision victory in the Phillipines so he isn't gonna leave it up to the judges.

refresh my memory, when was the last time he fought NOT looking for the knockout or leaving it in the judges' hands?
