De La Hoya-Mayweather Sr. Deal is Finalized

According to a recent report by Kevin Iole of Yahoo Sports, Oscar De La Hoya finalized a three-fight deal with Floyd Mayweather Sr. on Thursday. Mayweather Sr. will train De La Hoya for his May tune-up, the September rematch with his son, Floyd Mayweather Jr., and a third possible bout in December. After the deal was made, De La Hoya phoned recent trainer Freddie Roach, who trained him for last May's bout with Mayweather, and advised him of the deal. [details]

A third fight after Mayweather?? hmm, I smell a conspiracy! Floyd goes down to phantom punch which sets up the trilogy, **** I wish this ****** would retire.

Ive been smelling a money making triology for a while here, but that might not happen when PBF kos DLH. Freddie Roach has other things to "worry" about such as JMM. PBF should just fight Cotto that would be a great fight.

You guys are ignorant little ****en kids.

Its Mayweather heartless of a fighter is the reason why he doesn't fight any real welterweight. Mayweather picks his opponets not because Delahoya but because he is fighting for money and "not to prove to the fans who the best is" - floyd mayweather quote.

What part of this don't you fan boys understand?

So with that said, take a look at what floyd has said in the past then check yourselfs as a boxing fan. And leave floyd alone. He's all about the money. So stop putting the blame in Delahoya when it is clearly on Mayweather. You guys are starting to sound like women.

dlh presented the offer, mayweather had the option of saying no im not giving you a re-match and fight cotto....but since he already fought oscar and won he will take the fight, that's just what floyd is about letting his prime years go by.....it will be interesting dlh vs pbf II...dlh will be the underdog this time around....i believe he can pull it off he was close the first time and he will be closer this time around

No it's Delahoya's fault and I tell you why. We all know that any fighter right now would love a crack at Delahoya including Miguel Cotto. It's like a jackpot in lottery. Forrest, Winky, Cotto....even Roy Jones would all love a crack at him. So it's no suprise that Mayweather wants another big payday as well. Delahoya offered him a rematch and he accepted. If Delahoya only had the balls to go fight the other seniors like Winky or Forrest and leave the young guy alone to fight each other, we wouldn't be seeing this rematch.

Blame the bisexual who wears fishnets, not the pretty boy.

yeah, odlh-haters should stop blaming oscar for fighting ugly boy for a rematch. if ugly boy accepted the challenge of cotto, then it should be cotto fighting him. the thing is, ugly boy is chicken. he agreed for a rematch with odlh because 1) he has beaten delahoya once; and 2) he can't refuse millions of dollars (who can?), which only delahoya can offer. ugly boy stands to his monicker "money", that's it.
