Best of the LW fab 4 a while ago...

Who was the best out of these 4?

    Casamayor
    Castillo
    Corrales
    Freitas

They all had run-ins with each other... Except Freitas and Castillo.

These guys kind of remind me of the WW fab 4 (De La Hoya, Mosley, Trinidad and Vargas), and also the Featherweight fab 4 (Barrera, Marquez, Morales and Pacquiao).

Joel Casamayor was amazing prime. Robbed against Freitas. Won the trilogy with Corrales. He lost by one point (imo) in a VERY close fight with Castillo.

I give it to Corrales, he just had more in him, more heart and desire, he literally beat the fight out of Acelino Freitas, he came back from 3 knockdowns to beat Castillo, he lost the rematch but people have their stories, all I know is when they were evenly matchecd with no stories or bull**** surrounding the back scene Corrales put him out in 10 in a fight that will always be remembered. he also beat Casamayor and even though he lost the better of the 2 fights he won the bout that mattered, he earned Joel's respect. Corrales always came game and didn't fade out, he never hit a point in his career where he didn't deliver, try and mount some sort of offense, even against Clottey 2 weights up he went 12 if memory served me correct, Diego was a warrior and had more balls then those guys any day, Castillo is a close second with Joel 3rd and Freitas 4th.

Joel's best triumph's came over Corrales at Lightweight amongst these 4 names you named and he has been a menace to the ones he lost but he lost, just like when you look at De La hoya's record and see 38 wins you'll see the same number of losses in Joel's loss column because on paper he lost them fights.. granted.. but Diego had a win over all 3 of them, Freitas was great with power and for while he lasts he had heart, he got up from some big blows and when he quit it's because he knew he didn't have anymore left. I say Castillo 2nd because he fought everybody who was ever something at that weight while he was there win lose or draw but Corrales out of that bunch takes the cake, he beat them all at least once and was just a bigger warrior, he always came to fight and he never half stepped.

**BTW Vargas wasn't at Welterweight he was at Junior Middleweight**

Castillo had the best overall skills.
Corrales was the biggest puncher with the most heart.
Casamayor was probably the best defensive fighter and a dirty son of a *****.
        Frietas had decent skills...kind of a *****.

I'm going with Castillo, followed by Corrales.

Casamayor. Really good handspeed, good boxing skills, ring generalship, defense and intelligence. Really good fighter in his prime. Just my 2 cents. I know boxing.

Castillo had more overall skill than Joel Casamayor? Get real. Two completely different styles- but Casa was much more naturally talented.
