    Sebastian Sylvester-Javier Castillejo For 4/12

Sebastian Sylvester will make a mandatory defense of his European middleweight title on April 12 when he takes on Javier Castillejo. Five days ago, the 27-year-old German (28-2, 13 KOs) clinched a unanimous points victory over Francois Bastient. Experienced Castillejo last scored a KO victory over Mariano Natalio Carrera to become the mandatory challenger to WBA champion Felix Sturm. Whoever wins on April 12 will be hopeful to get a world title shot soon. “Castillejo is a tough guy,” Sylvester said. “But a win would put me in a great position for a world title fight. My goal is to become champion. And this is a great opportunity to move one step closer.”

What happened to Randy Griffin? Does he get a rematch?

12 rounds should be enough time for avier Castillejo to brawl with Sylvester and knock him out. Unless he gets old overnight or took to many punches in the fight with Carrera he will win.

Exactly. I meant does he get a rematch or does Strum have to fight a mandatory first? I mean these guys are fighting for the mandatory spot, but what about Griffin?

My countryman Amin Asikainen (who is fighting Campas this weekend) KO'd Sylvester (though he got KO'd in the rematch), Castillejo should be able to do the same. Sylvester's chin isn't too good and Castillejo will test it.

Castillejo vs Sturm III & Asikainen vs Sylvester III will be good fights.
