Floyd was throwing 30 power shots a round... that's not a terrible number I don't think, considering he was throwing more than a few jabs each round also.

Its the fact you posted a pic of Baldomir knocking out Gatti, a fight in which Gatti connected a lot of punches of Baldo's freakish chin until he got tired, the fact that Baldomir was very big 180+ outside the ring and while Gatti wasn't a big Welterweight.

It wasn't related to how Floyd owned him before. Post the punch stat for any Gatti fight and you wont be able to compare it with this guaranteed, Even in the DLH fight Gatti landed nearly 7 times more punches than this and he was fighting DLH at Welterweight again. You get the point? Its not about "Floyd is great because he beat Gatti" Its how he beat him, the circumstances, was gatti ever beaten that bad before? etc etc etc.

Well I'm not saying he was throwing nonstop punches... but Floyd threw a lot more punches than usual, and 30 power shots a round isn't a small amount.

That number is just the powershots thrown, Floyd threw that many power shots through 6 rounds

gatti was no ***** (unlike money may) and would fight ANYONE, that why he gets more respect then money may but yeah money may did **** him up pretty bad, i dont agree that if you put gattis heart in mayweater it would be one hell of a champ cuz mayweather would then be tempted to slug it out and he aint good at that

during his time at 130, when he won a belt, gatti fought one top jr. lightweight, in patterson. the other top 130 lb. fighters then were nelson, hernandez, and leija. gatti fought none of them.

the top lightweights when gatti fought there were mosley, nazarov, mendi, and johnston. gatti fought none of them.

the top jr. welterweights from 2000-2004 (when floyd moved up) when gatti fought there were mitchell, zab, and tszyu. gatti fought none of them.

the only true elite guys of a weight class that gatti fought were mayweather and de la fishnet, and he was brutally beaten both times.

this is simply facts, i'm not trying to knock gatti as i respect the thrills he has brought to the fans.

you're going to need something to support your argument on how gatti fought such tough opposition.

i hate to break it to ya but thats boxing! arturo gatti beat the living **** out of joey gamache, and he got smacked around by floyd in turn, hes just lucky floyd isnt a massive puncher otherwise some much more serious damage coulda beeen inflicted
