    Cotto needs to ignore Floyd

I am not a Cotto fan per se but just have seen so much discussion on the Cotto vs Floyd fight. Also I am not a Floyd hater, I just dont think he is entertaining at all and dont see his as a superstar.

Cotto is clearly a great fighter
This is what Cotto should do.

Ignore Floyd, keep fighting and beating the best. Dominate the division and surpass Floyds accomplishments (except do it in an exicting manner). If he can do it, in a few years Floyd will need another money fight and come knocking, and Cotto should then ignore Floyd and not give him the fight.

      After 31 fights,

Floyd had won a 130 lb title and defended it 8 times,
then won a 135 lb title and defended it 3 times.

Cotto has won a 140 lb title and defended it 6 times,
then won a 147 lb title and defended it 3 times.

Different stages in their career. Period.

I agree 100%. Cotto needs to do what is best for his career, which is keep an eye out for a Mayweather match... but if it doesn't come off, he needs to just go about his business and keep beating the best that will fight him.

Floyd average opponent has 27 wins 5 losses
Cotto average opponent has 24 wins 5 losses

They are close considering Mayw has had 8 more fights, also I dont think Cotto should fight Gomez...

Cotto is ten times the man Gayweather is.

            And judging by Gayweather's actions.

            I say he's not a man.
