He was beating Baldomir easily late in the fight and then for whatever reason pulled an Andrew Golota. He was also beating Margarito before his hands broke. Neither of those losses show any sort of lack of top tier ability. He is also the mandatory within a year for the IBF belt, so how could you say he won't be getting a title shot?

Him pulling an Andrew Golota shows a lack of top tier ability, but thats not the point, especially since he's improved then, What I was trying to say about Clottey not getting a title shot is that barring a vacancy, he won't be getting a title shot SOON. He's a mandatory but Kermit is already defending against Tony, and the winner has all intention of fighting Cotto which means Clottey unfairly has to play the waiting game.

As for the other ****, while I enjoyed shutting you down, I must also agree with you on exposing Arum, like any other promoter, he bs's and often lies, but thats just part of the business, either way i'm amped to see how the welterweight pictures sorts out regardless of whos champ

No doubt. Arum likely paid him to wait and guaranteed him a shot at the title when the winner vacates it to fight Cotto. In other words, there ain't going to be any unification fights.

its a shame that there won't be unification fights, if you got a mandatory, handle that, I mean Cotto is a tough opponent so i'd want to fight a mandatory to sharpen up and then hype up the fight for late 08 with Cotto

So why didnt Arum pay Clottey money so he could make the Cotto/Cinron Unification then? Why use clottey as an excuse so he could make Cotto/Gomez like there wasnt other options on the table, Bob Arum is a scum who lies like every other promoter in the boxing business, He could have made Cotto/Cintron but he would rather make Cotto/Gomez.

Arum was looking an opponent that would be made to order for Cotto that could be shown on regular HBO. Cintron still gets the Cotto PPV if he erases that ugly loss to Margarito. If Clottey is satisfied there is no smoking gun. Like it or not, in boxing that's how business gets done.

Bob Arum went on record and said he couldnt get a fight for Cotto thats why he made Cotto/Gomez, The interviewer then said Cintron has been calling cotto out, Arum then said he couldnt make the fight because Clottey wanted him to enforce his due mandatory with Cintron and that the only way forward would be for Cintron to drop his belt, The interviewer then suggest Arum paid Clottey a step-aside money but arum said he would do that.
Now all of a sudden he was able to make Cintron/Maragrito without cintron dropping his belt....So if he could make Clottey wait for Margarito/Cintron why couldnt he make Clottey wait for Cotto/Cintron?

Much more money in Cotto/Cintron if Cintron is able to get by Margarito, much more money in Cotto/Margarito (than now) if he doesn't.
