Yea i agree.
Nobody wants to see yet ANOTHER division in boxing, so it will never happen, but i think its starting to be almost a neccesity.
There are fighters like Chambers and Ibragimov and maybe even Povetkin, who are all probably to big to lose enough weight to become cruiserweights (all needing to lose in excess of 20 pounds) and to small to really compete at the upper level.
Its a hard way to make a living for those guys, but they really have to choice. -
I disagree, the HW division has always been the top division, the special division. If you ask any average person about boxing, everybody knows Ali/Tyson, probably the most popular fighters of all time. Because the HW division always was the one with the most competition. If there is a SHW division it would kinda steal it's thunder. Also, Ibragimov is champ, Chagaev just beat Valuev whos like 330 lbs. Povetkin and Chambers are both up to par with top opposition. It's not like the SHWs are completely dominating the HW scene. The only real good SHW's are Wlad, Valuev and Peter.Yea i agree.
