I was actually looking forward to him getting better and fighting again, if this is true. What a ****ing Idiot this guy has to be, people are hurting for money all the time. No need to **** up your life doing some Billy the kid ****.

Man I hope he didn't do that. I met him and his brother briefly at a card they were on in Glen Burnie, MD. I like both of them. I know Andre gets a lot of **** from the boxing media and I hate to see what happened to Anthony with the cancer. It's just a sad story man. These two dudes have all the talent in the world man. This is sad. I hope he can put this behind him.

He was only a promising prospect at best. There was no guarantee that he was going to make "TONS" of money. Unless one of the major networks has a strong interest in you and are willing to cover your expenses, you aren't making any money at that stage of his career. He was a complete unknown that was probably only known locally. He was also fighting cancer and his comeback was questionable. He was desperate and probably felt robbed of a bright career with no way out.

What a waste. I would expect a boxer to have more intelligence than to take part in this type of "thug" crap.

I think Andre's better, and he obviously isn't ******ed like his brother since Andre hasn't had a run in with the law or so we know of.

Life is what it is. You can't expect anything out of people you don't know. It's too bad man...I'm going to pray for the dude. He's been through a lot recently and if prison is next for him it's a really sad story.

Andre was a much better amateur. Andre has the best win as a pro. BUT Larry Merchant said Anthony was a much better pro prospect so you know his acolytes are going to believe it to be true.

Anthony Dirrell average opponent 5 wins 5 losses 1 draw.
Not sure how people can say wheter or not he would be a great prospect without seeing him in vs tougher competition.

                    Bonus Stats!
His average opponent in prison will have 4 armed robberies 6 aggravated assaults and 1 ****

He was probably gonna make a a bunch of money, he had already appeared several times and they did little documentaries on them. They invested a lot of money marketing them.
