the heavyweight division is soooooooo bad that I could see Ruiz picking up a belt or two. he did it in a much better division than we've got today

This is going to be such a boring fight. He just couldn't stay quiet could he?

ruiz is a true warrior! No running from mandatories, no 5 straight cancellations, no positive steroid tests, no claims of being drugged or poisoned, no being owned twice by oleg maskaev, no losing to a guy a foot shorter than him (though he really beat one that was a foot taller).

ruiz is now going to take on the guy who nearly ko'd the ring's #2 ranked heavyweight.

ruiz is a warrior of kindred spirits, an honor to the great sport of boxing.

            war huggy bear!

I wouldn't count on McCline to EVER win a big fight. Has he won a fight that matters since Michael Grant? Ruiz is dreadful to watch, but he knows how to do enough to win. This is one fight I don't mind missing.

brewster-liakhovich was a great fight. brewster-krasniqi was good too.

barrett-beck was pretty entertaining. so was the first peter-toney fight.

This freaking tells you EVERYTHING you need to know about the HW division.

BEATING Jameel McCline GETS YOU A TITLE SHOT?

McCline has gotten his teeth kicked out EVERY SINGLE TIME he has stepped up. How many more shots will he get? Losses to Klit, Valuev, Peter...ok I get it. Losses to ZURI LAWRENCE?????????

As for Huggy Bear. Watchin this man clintch his way to a title last time around almost made me kill myself. Does anyone else almost have an anxiety attack just HOPING some action will take place, or that the other guy will just KO him suddenly. I have never rooted so hard for a heavyweight to get KTFO.

Although I do love to watch him fight Tua and Jones.

Apparently this is what it takes to get a title shot if you are ruiz:

                  BEAT: Rahman, Golota, and Oquendo

THEN LOSE to : Toney, Valuev, and Chagaev

THEN beat: Otis Tisdale and Jameel McCline?

What? THIS is the road to the title? Shame.

(Regarding Toney, it was a loss in the publics eyes only, he whooped ruiz and everyone watched, I get the whole NC thing, but that doesnt take away the beating that preceeded it.)

Yeah agreed, McCline always manages to lose his big chance matches, its like hes cursed or something.

Would John Ruiz please go away. And if not...then why not actually beat Golota before you start talking about cleaning up the Heavweight division. I wish Lennox Lewis would have fought him. Then Ruiz would have been involved in the three most embarrassing loses by a heavyweight contender instead of just the two most embarrassing ones.
