              I would put Robinson as number 1.

              Not sure about the old-timers like Joe Walcott, Jack Britton and Mickey Walker.

              Hearns and Leonard should be rated up there.

              Armstrong was a great p4p fighter and he did very well as a welterweight.

              Jose Napoles, Kid Gavilan, Carmen Basilio and Emile Griffith were good welterweights too.

              Pernell Whitaker was very good at welterweight but probably not top 5.

                But seriously, A lot of good names. All I say is please dont say Whitaker is all time top 5 welter.

                    do you guys think Tito is maybe a top 10 all time welterweight? I'm inclined to say that he is but my knowledge of the great welterweights pre 80's is limited.
