He has to cut off the ring and WORK THAT BODY. He HAS to be a dedicated body puncher. I know the jab is important and he has to jab his way into the body. There is noway you can get to Floyd's body without some return fire so he will have to take Floyd's shots to land some good body blows early on.

You make a very good point about him being a converted southpaw. I agree to a certain degree. Cotto will give Floyd problems which I will not deny, but when have you ever seen Floyd NOT adapt to any fighting style (hard jabs, speedy fighters, aggressive fighters, ect) Cotto will probally get the first 3 to 4 rounds before Floyd figures his timing, movement, and his favorite punches.

That is what worries me about Cotto. He looks better and better with each fight.(I'm a Floyd fan and I got to keep it real) I still have to go with my boy Floyd 8 rounds to 4 favoring Floyd ( Maybe 7 rounds to 5)

imo Cotto should just fight out of the southpaw stance. Cotto's jab in the orthodox stance is just UGLY, he looks likes he's throwing a straight left. When Cotto is in the southpaw stance he fights more fluid and more effective.

Thats what I'm trying to point out. We all know Cotto is a beast when he goes to the body but he is open for that right hand lead that Floyd likes to throw. I'm not taking **** from Cotto, but he does have a questionable chin. He might be able to take Floyd's shot, He might not take Floyd's shots. That is why this fight needs to happen.

You're might be on something here my friend but only time will tell if his southpaw stance is the key to victory over Mayweather.

I agree with that, Mayweather has the ability to adapt in a fight but Cotto showed he could adapt when he fought Mosley as well.

I think he should start the fight orthodox, if that doesn't work, then switch southpaw, switching southpaw would allow Mayweather right hand leads to land a lot, which makes me worried, and Cotto's arsenal of punches decreases when he switches southpaw IMO.

You're right about Cotto being limited in the southpaw stance but I must be honest and say he is decent when he fight in the LEFTY stance. He needs to better his arsenal of punches out the southpaw stance before he enters the ring witht Floyd. Can you imagine if Cotto can swith from orthodox to southpaw back to orthodox. MAN! That would be some confusing **** for Mayweather IMO.

I know we can agree on this. This fight needs to be made to squash all of the questions that are being raised. I do know that Cotto will make Floyd fight. Cotto will be putting some leather on Floyd's ass. I think we will see the best of Mayweather and the best of Cotto.
