Buddy McGirt's corner advice to Fast Eddie

Was terrible. "Cmon get busy, let's go, yo know what i'm saying"

"Cmon you goto to get rid of this guy, no ifs and or butts about it>"

and "Cmon you have to throw more combinations off the jab."

Thanks Buddy, but what the F***. they payin you for that?

Be more specific, what punches should follow? How do you set it up? I mean any boxing fan could say "throw more combinations off the jab."

McGirt's job is supposed to prepare him to be able to do it. Obviously, Fast Eddie has some major skills. But he didn't let his hands go probly because there was no specific plan.

Eddie Chambers needs a much better trainer. I'm very down on McGirt lately. He got Brewster almost damn near killed, he almost got Paulie KOed by Ngoudjou, he got Tarver beat up by Hopkins, he got Adamek pummeled by Dawson, Buddy has not had a very good past two years of training fighters.

Eddie Chambers can be champ I beleive. He's got some good stuff, very good right, good upper body movment, toughness. A top trainer could get Fast Eddie to one ofthe title. I think Fast Eddie beats Peter, Maskaev.

I thought is advice was excellent. He was telling Eddie to get rid of "this guy" in rounds 10 on because he NEEDED the KO to win the fight.

Eddie just didnt listen. The advice was right on point

It ain't the size of the dog in the fight, it's the size of the fight in the dog. That dog ain't got no fight in him.

They obviously went over this in the camp though. HE was doing it non-stop in the early rounds, so he clearly knew what he had to do. ANd he aknowledged Mcgirt when he told him these things. He just couldnt go out there and do it. Didnt have the mental fortitude to throw while getting thrown at

It doesn't matter how good the plan is if you can't execute. Eddie just couldn't execute.

I think the advice was solid. You don't want to put too much information in a boxers head. He was telling his fighter to throw combinations off the jab, which is exactly what he needed to do. The awful looking cover-up defense only works if you return blows as soon as your opponent opens up, which Chambers was not doing.

Emmanuel Steward gives much more precise instruction. Emmanuel sees the openings and tells his guy what to look for and what punch to throw. McGirt is not in Steward's league, not even close

Is it just me or does it seem like whatever corner Buddy is in his guy ends up losing?

The trainer that gives the worst advice in between rounds IMO is zab's father.
