UGHHHH!!!! How much longer will it be...

UNTIL THERE'S A GOOD HEAVYWEIGHT FIGHT!!!!

Jeez already, ive never seen a division get this boring ever ever ever.

The last truly memorable heavyweight fight was between Lamon Brewster and Sergei Lychovic and was years ago.

Tonights fight was "meh." It started out fine, had some pretty decent action, and then it got methodical and boring towards the end. The dead crowd didn't help

Nothing is like a great heavyweight fight, and i reaaaaaaaaaaaaally wanna see one. Peter-Klitschko 2 is the only Heavyweight fight i would get even mildly excited about.

Hopefully Wlad-Ibragimov. I think it has the potential to be a pretty good match-up.

Agreed, it used to be the most entertaining division, but now there are very few memorable fights.

I thought tonights fight was somewhat entertaing but when you really think about it, neither mean anything in the heavyweight division. Chambers threw the fight away, povetkin deserved the victory but neither one are special, green or not.

If Ibragimov fights like he used to fight, head first with 5 or 6 punch combinations to the body. Then yea, it could be a pretty good fight.

But i highly doubt thats gonna happen. I think its a snoozefest until Ibragimov gets dramtically knocked out in the 8 or 9th rounds.

I was really frustrated with the fight. Chambers had so many advantages but didnt take advantage of any of them.

2 out of the 3 HW fights have delivered so far in 2008:

Chagaev vs Skelton - ugly, scrappy fight...Chagaev did what he had to do and won a wide UD...you can blame Skelton's huggy bear John Ruiz style for the lack of excitment.

Golota vs Mollo - I thought it was an entertaining fight, both guys showed a lot of heart in a heavyweight brawl.

Povetkin vs Chambers - it was a good fight, both guys showed their skills and Povetkin came out on top outworking Chambers with his relentless Mexican fighting style.

Wlad vs Sultan is coming up...Wlad may produce the KO of the year when he stops Ibragimov.

The heavyweight division looks good right now in 2008.

I thought it was a pretty good fight, at least until Chambers went 100% defense. There were no clinches the entire fight. I do agree that the audience wouldn't have made for a rowdy crowd at a golf tournament in the US.

The Peter-McCline fight was a good fight. Anyway you're expecting too much out of heavyweights. They're not feather/light/welterweights. One puncha and it might be over.

The Brewster-Lyakovich fight was an exception like Tua-Beabuchy years before that. Two guys with solid chins taking as much as they're dishing out.
Not gonna see too many of those.

You used to get plenty of those. Every heavyweight championship fight for almost 3 decades from the 60's to the 80's was a major event, and often a great great great fight.

The division is just so big. These guys are huge.

And the more talented exciting heavyweights are smaller and usually unable to make it to the top

A ...Dimitrenko vs. Hoffmann was a great fight
B- ...Golota vs. Mollo wasn't bad
B- ...McCline vs. Peter was fairly exciting
B- ...McCall vs. Gomez was fine display of skill by Gomez
B ...Ibragimov vs. Holyfield was good
B- ...Savarese vs. Holyfield wasn't bad
B ...Ahunyana vs. Cameron was an exciting fight
                    B ...Krasniqi vs. Minto

Lots of good heavyweight KO's during past year:

                    Mollo KO McBride
                    Wlad KO Austin
                    Sultan KO Mora
                    Dimitrenko KO Tann
                    Meehan KO Williamson
                    Sprott KO Harrison

                    and lots more.

Will people PLEASE stop being so negative about the heavyweight division!
