Lennox Lewis is an idiot.

Naw, I like Lennox Lewis commentating. He says off the wall stuff sometimes, but I like him. And he was a GREAT heavyweight. He is in my top ten of all time.
Seems like a nice person too.Comment

I agreed with Lennox on that. Shockingly, Chambers was hurting povetkin with those hard counter shots and one more could have turned the fight around. Lennox is a great commentator in my opinion.Comment

Well I think Lennox was just speaking from experience there (Rahman and McCall) and just overestimating Chambers' power a bit. But honestly, I enjoyed his commentating a whole lot more than Kellerman's tonight.Comment

Lewis is the biggest heavyweight ***** if I ever seen one in the sport of boxing. Tyson would have retired him in the very first round in his prime. I never had any respect for him when HE LOST EVERY ROUND of the Klitchko fight and it was stopped due to a head butt and Lewis talked **** and retired like a ***** that he is. I take it back hes not a bigger ***** than Calzaghe but Lewis is an idiot and only won fights because of his size and a jab. Holyfield in his prime would kill him as well. He was a filler of the heavyweights, because we had nobody at the time. NOW its even worse. So he looks better because no one in that class has anything. Klitchko on his GOOD days is really good but is not anything great.Comment

hahahahahahahha!!! Funny!! I would expect more from an former great champion!Yeah, I don't understand why HBO insists on forcing Lennox on us. Big George used to say some crazy **** on a fairly regular basis, but he would always throw out a few really insightful gems before the night was over. Even after years of doing this stuff, Lennox always seems nervous and unprepared. Also, he is the ****ing zen master of overstating the obvious. I've yet to hear him say anything truly insightful with regard to what goes on in a fighter's head or about any sort of strategy a fighter needs to employ.
Typical exchange:
Lampley: Lennox, fighter A is having a really difficult time adjusting to the speed and movement of fighter B. What can fighter A do to compensate for his relatively slow hand and foot speed?
Lennox: Yes, definitely. Fighter A is definitely having a difficult time adjusting to the speed and movement of fighter B. He definitely needs to compensate for his relatively slow hand and foot speed, Jim.

agree, and is it too much to ask that he learn to pronounce the fighters names. povetkin is russian, and his name is pronounced "povyetktin", not "povetkin". kellerman didnt seem to have a problem with it.Last edited by boxing_pundit85; 01-27-2008, 03:38 AM.Comment
