I would say Tony Thompson, beaten better competition and has skills.

Arreola has looked good so far but ask yourself against who? Plus he gets hit far too much...

Yea Thompson, Chambers lost but he shouldn't be underrated, he's still a danger to most of the division, just like Brock.

Thompson would beat both though, he is a 6'5 240 lbs version of Winky Wright with a good workrate and defense

when i say next great heavyweight, i take out all the guys with a loss in the record. No offense to any of the fighters with losses but when you look at it

          Owen Beck
          Calvin Brock
          Damian Willis
          Travis Walker
          Derek Rossy
          Eddie Chambers
          Dominick Guinn

guys like this who were undefeated who were suppose to be great loss when stepping up or got upset

Thompson, he's 36 so he better get his shot soon.

I heard Arreola wasn't that great in the gym. Maybe in the future but not now.

Best american heavyweight is hard to pick right now, because not many undefeated fighters fight anyone.
I think we should throw Brock out of the mix for sure.

I don't really pay much attention to the heavy weight division tbh but if anyone is to do it i'd go with thompson or brock maybe.

I watched some videos of Tony Thompson on youtube and I was not that impressed. He is tall guy with a decent jab and some fundamentals, but he is slow and he lacks punching power. He would get beat by title holders Wlad,Ibragimov,Chagaev and Peter, I'd give him a decent chance against old Maskaev though.
