Interesting how Parody, a Brit, roots for Yanks like Hopkins (against a Brit, Calzaghe) and Mayweather (against a Brit, Hatton) and, in this instance, Chambers.

I think I know why...

It's because he is not biased towards british fighters just because they are british. Someone disagree with you and you have a problem? Suck it up.

Chambers almost made me lose my prediction, which I still got correctly

I scored it 117-109 (two even rounds).

Chambers certainly has skills, but he is as disappointing as Dominic Guinn. Another talented American heavyweight contender with absolutely no fire in his belly. I am basing my opinion of him on this one fight, but, despite his solid counter-punching ability, I think this guy is a waste of time for a trainer like Buddy McGirt. If I were McGirt, I would move on right now. Otherwise, he is just setting himself up to be frustrated. I agree with Max that Chambers should try to trim down to cruiserweight. He seems like he could melt off quite a bit of weight with a better trainer on his ass (his dad is god awful IMO).

With regard to Povetkin, I was fairly impressed. I can see how he won Olympic gold. Great work rate, solid chin and above average skill and balance. I probably wouldn't pick him to beat Wlad, but who knows. If his chin can hold up, he's got a good chance.

I had it basically the same as Harold Lederman. I thought Chambers won 3 out of the first 4 and then Povetkin swept the rest. It frustrated the **** out of me with Chambers seemingly giving away the fight.
