Remember what Cortez did to Hatton?
Remember what the judges did to JL Castillo in Mayweather vs. Castillo I?
Something strange happened to Wlad in Las Vegas when he fought Brewster - was he drugged? He appeared to be.
Felix Sturm was robbed by the judges when he fought DLH in Vegas.
Kali Meehan was robbed by the judges when he fought Brewster there.
Can Joe expect fair treatment from the referee and judges in Las Vegas?Last edited by Crazylegs77; 01-26-2008, 02:02 PM.

I have to admit I am worried about the corrupt bias American judging, if it's a close fight they will obviously give it to Hopkins because he is American.
I am predicting that Calzaghe will dominate Hopkins and completely outwork him, there should be no doubt about who the winner is when the fight is over.

Lets not forget most fights are in America and half of those fights were not robberies.
If you think America is dirty, then can you name me another country that is cleaner then USA??

Terry O'Conner the reff for the Calzaghe-Manfredo fight was advised to stop the fight early if Manfredo took too many punches to the head to stop Manfredo from being brain damaged even further. The boxing councils were all worried about Manfredo for signing to fight Joe Calzaghe as it was so they didn't want to damage him even more.

Originally posted by WESS View PostWell, I will tell you this. They wont stop the fight when he slaps like the ***** that he is. They will give him a fair fight. They will let him run around and slap box all he wants while the passionately waiting Hopkins sticks him right on Q every time and scores easy points. I seriously doubt lil cal man will even stun Hopkins for one second. IF ANYTHING Hopkins will get into calzaghe's head and make him loose focus and before you know it the one punch that hopkins does throw will count. I don't see this being a clean, or boring fight. Hopkins will fight some-what dirty making a lot of emotions coming from both ends, calzaghe will make it interesting with him slapping like he does all the time and having to retaliate every time he gets hit. So it wont be boring. The only thing I see the Ref doing is, if Calzaghe is giving it his all with those ***** slaps and Hopkins starts laughing at him and smiling at the HBO commentators, you better believe he will break them up and not allow calzaghe to embarress himself with a bunch of pathetic flurries like he did in the Manfredo fight. So I believe the Ref will break them up a lot. Bad for Calzaghe. But in the end it wont matter. I believe Hopkins has this fight in the bag. Maywather shocked the world once, and calzaghe says hes going to make up for it... all I say to Calzaghe is.... I LAUGH AT YOU SIR! Just keep your head up at the end of the day! Hatton did, But then again HE IS and WILL ALWAYS BE A TRUE CHAMPION!

I've posted a thread before on when a ref should step in, some fighters like Julian Jackson and Ernie Shavers, both massive hitters in their respective weights, have been beat down so bad the towel was about to be thrown in then WHAM one big punch and they've won.
That was not going to happen with Manfredo, yes it was stopped to early and in a wierd way it has allowed Manfredo to come out with all this 'rope a dope' bull****. With hindsight, they should have let him take another round, but the end was nigh anyway.
With regards to the judging?? Frank Warren is very protective of his fighters so I expect the negotations have included a right of veto on certain judges and refs. If I was his lawyer, that's what I'd advise.
On the whole the USA is a far better place to fight for a Brit than Germany or Italy that's for sure.

With the exception of Germany I cant name you ANY country with a WORSE history of terribly biased judging decisions.
In UK you don't only have ****ty judges but you also have some of the ****tiest referees in the history of the sport.
Now do me a favor and go watch some of Calzaghe, Hatton, Khan, Hamed and Froch fights, now count all the TKO stoppages they had in their career.
After you watch all of these fights then tell me how many of those fights would've been stopped by an American referee???
You also seem to forget that America have had more fights then the whole world combined and when it comes to big fights, most are in America.
Like I said America > rest of the world
You can be a Pinoy, Mexican, Arab, African, Puerto Rican, British, Russian and still be loved in America. You don't have to be American to become a super star in America. That's what's great about America and when it comes judging and refereeing, you can't find a better place in the world. And that's the fact.
If you think America is biased, then you're a biased British fan and gonna keep mentioning some of the robberies we had in America.
