Margarito May Fight Collazo if Judah Ducks Him

Margarito will fight anyone. From ESPN:

The televised undercard for Cotto-Gomez is in the works, Arum said. He is trying to lock in a fight between former welterweight titleholders Zab Judah and Antonio Margarito. Wins by Cotto and Margarito would likely propel them into a fight later this year. Arum said that he and Judah, who bought out his promotional agreement with Prize Fight Promotions, met Wednesday at Arum's Las Vegas office and they are apart on money. Arum said if they can't make a deal, he already has feelers out to Don King about putting ex-titlist Luis Collazo in the fight instead, and King is interested. "If Judah doesn't take the fight, there are other guys Margarito can fight," Arum said. "We're not close right now, but we're not in different ballparks."

I'd rather see Margarito vs Collazo then watch Judah get KO'd again

Collazo is a bad matchup for Margarito. Crafty lefties give him problems. Even if he wins, he probably won't look good. Plus Collazo makes no sense as a prep fight for Cotto.

The man has no fear. He will fight anyone. You think it made sense for him to fight Williams instead of Cotto last year? The funny thing is these would be tune up fights for Margarito while Cotto is fighting a bum like Gomez.

I agree Margarito should be admired for his lack of fear, but this shows a lack of sense. He had to fight Williams to keep his title. Collazo is just a prep for the Cotto fight. IMO Collazo will make him look bad even if Toney wins. He should find an aggressive orthodox welterweight to prepare for Cotto. At least Judah had big name value and a questionable chin he could exploit. Collazo takes a great punch too.
