Both of these guys had wonderful careers that paralleled each other, I've watched them both over their careers and though Tyson was the more marketable fighter and what most boxing enthusist crave about Lewis quietly built himself into being the better fighter. Most fans at the time wanted the wild man persona that Tyson left them with but Lewis remained the intelligent and articulate gentleman champion that the fans didn't want; look at both of thier situations now, for everything that Tyson gave and pretended to be it didn't amount to **** and he went out on his stool, Lewis knew after his last fight that the jig was up said **** it and retired with the majority of his money, Tyson retired with out of court settlements, drug convictions, and bankruptcy now tell me was the better man?

Lewis was getting a nice beating from Vitali. The Q is if Lewis actually won gold in 84 and stepped up his game and fought a 87-88 version of Tyson and both parties accepted the fight who would have won? I believe it would have turned out exactly like Tyson v Tyrell Briggs(who won gold in 84 to beat Lewis i believe) no doubt!
