What did he **** up exactly? He became the youngest-ever heavyweight champion, quickest-ever undisputed champion, and knocked out the Lineal champion in one round.

    Lol.

Going from poverty to extreme wealth (and celebrity status) is a transition that many fighters can't deal with. Hard training in the gym doesn't prepare you for that.

He fell out of love with boxing before even the Spinks fight. It was all too easy. And he'd had enough of life itself before even the Spinks fight, with Givens messing his head, and attempted suicide in Oct '88. He barely trained for Bruno.

if you belive he "hell out of love with boxing" your part of the problem, at the time of the spinks fight he could have left boxing and would have been remebered a great fighter now wat is he........he's a "guy that could have done"

I suggest you change ya username then. He was hardly a failure though. Greatest Heavyweight Of All Time in my eyes.

He is a failure in my eyes..... you must see the good and bad in someone to give an overall view of the fighter, even if you think he is the "Greatest heavyweight of all time" in your eyes

You'll get over it(Although some Tyson fans never do). I got over it years ago. After that, you'll accept Tyson for he is/was, the good things he's done and accept his place in history.
