Why didnt Calzaghe fight Hopkins?

They couldn't really come to an agreement as to where they should fight, US or UK.

i doubt calzaghe wouldve won 5 years ago.. bhop threw punches then.. now is a diff story..

Because of Frank Warren. Calz didn't get a stepup in competition till about 2-3 years ago when they put him with Jeff Lacey. Until that point Calz has NEVER faced a belt holder or an undefeated true challenger.

Remember Calz won a vacant title.
