I know most logical fans in here agree. To those bandwagoners who only know about Roy Jones by watching Roy Youtube highlights and compilations, yall are making yourselfs look ridiculous.

Not only has he slowed down BUT the Ko losses changed him offensively. He is punch shy. Sure he let his hands go against Tito once he realized Tito couldn't hurt him BUT against Glen or Tarver......same things happens again. He will showboat more and punch less and will lose one way or the other.
Finally a sensible thread about the fight last weekend.......

Roy has classically been a very very methodical and slow paced fighter. Obviously, he use to throw more punches, but not by much.

Roy has NEVER been a fighter to let his hands go. Roy has NEVER been a fighter to stand and trade. Roy has NEVER been a fighter to throw a punch if he even suspects he might get hit in the process.

Stop making Roy out to be some balls to the wall offensive machine, he never was. He was the most devastating COUNTER PUNCHER in boxing history.

Roy doesn't create openings in his opponents defense, he simply waits... and waits... and waits... AND WAITS... until you make a tiny little mistake then BOOM!

Please actually watch a few Jones fights before making a thread like this.

Nice! That was indeed a serious ownage. I would give you some G Karma but supposedly I need to spread it around before giving you more.

Either way, Vladimir, take a backseat mate. No one wants to hear it anymore.

I don't think it's so much them being ******. It's just that Roy Jones was never really gone. He got KO'd. Big deal, most fighters do somewhere along the line. Nor is he back in any special way. He has moved down to a better weight and looked a bit better than he has in a while but he will still be a major threat to any champ out there at the moment.

I think thats what some people are trying to say. Of course he's not the old RJJ. He's adjusting his style slowly to suit the way he will now fight but he still looks better than a lot of the champions around now. Go and look at this fight with 'Tito' and imagine that you'd never seen him fight before. He looks pretty damn good. He also looks like he'd give a serious go at anyone in the division around 168/175.

My only prob with the thread is that their are a hundred roy threads. We all know his isnt so called back , he'll never be like he is. But you could simply state these oppinions in the so called Roy is back threads.
