High Stakes on The Line For Povetkin, Chambers

Russian star Alexander Povetkin (14-0, 11 KOs) is convinced he will beat Eddie Chambers (30-0, 16 KOs) in Saturday´s final IBF eliminator and become the next big thing in the heavyweight division. Speaking in front of a packed press conference in Berlin, the 2004 Olympic gold medal winner said: “I am very confident of success. I expect a very hard fight, much harder than against Chris Byrd. Everything else we will see in the ring.”

This fight is being televised in 44 countries. I'm very excited about it - two fighters who are both very talented, technically skilled, and undefeated square off! The best young American heavyweight vs. the best young Russian heavyweight.

Too bad they're not showing it live. I hate watching the fight knowing what the outcome is gonna be.

Yeah, me too. If I don't want the result spoiled I have to stay off the internet for 4-5 hours. Plus they're showing the Jones-Trinidad fight first on HBO.

Yeah it kind of has that old cold war feel to it. It sucks that the fight won't be live on HBO so Im either going to have to watch it on a stream or stay off the internet until the fight is over.
