Most boxers had some kind of nicknames that weren't official.

For example:
Ali was called the Greatest and the Louisville Lip,
Patterson was called the Gentleman of Boxing and the Rabbit (Ali),
Liston was called the Big, Bad Bear (Ali), Sonny was a nickname his real name was Charles.
Norton was called the Black Hercules,
Calzaghe is sometimes called the Italian Dragon (I don't know if I've ever really heard that used but I think I heard it somewhere

) and Pride of Wales,
RJJ was called Mr. Unstoppable, Junior and other nicknames. He had lots of them.
