Salita: "De La Hoya Will Pass Me The Torch"

During a recent interview with BoxingScene.com's Jose Aguirre, Dmitriy "Star of David" Salita (27-0, 15KOs) said Oscar De La Hoya (38-5, 30KOs) will "pass the torch" if the fighters reach an agreement for a potential bout on May 3. [details]

salita or malignaggi or forbes maybe a good tune-up match for delahoya. salita for his aggressiveness in the ring, forbes for his never-say-die attitude and malignaggi for his ring savvy, and his ability to move from end to end of the ring. though i like oscar to test the punching power of forbes, i would like to see oscar going against malignaggi because he moves fast. ugly boy floyd is so quick so oscar must find a boxer that can move at least as quick as ugly boy floyd... but not ivan calderon please!

that would be nice, Salita is a good look cuz he's undefeated, I'll gibe it to Oscar if he does this because Salita ain't no chump, he hasn't beaten anyone you can gasp in amazaement over but he is a good fight for Oscar to prepare for someone like Floyd, the kid is tough and has a good future in front of him.

That fight isn't happening so there'll be no passing of torches for him.

lolz I never knew that Salita was also considered by Oscar ....

IMHO Paulie fight would have been a better fight for Qscar than Forbes
