    Your Thoughts on Chagaev

After watching him against valuev i was impressed with him. He is still one of my fav heavyweights but after watching more of his fights i am less convinced that he could beat wlad. He has a good chin good skill and some pop in his punches but he doesn't seem to be very quick. he has had some close decision's that he could have lost. I would like to see him against wlad but unless he pulls out a great performance i think he would get beat.

I was totally unimpressed by his fight against an inferiot talent Saturday. But I did see the Valuev fight so I believe Chagaev can do better. I'd give him some benefit of the doubt since he was coming off a layoff and a (alleged) serious illness. No more excuses if he comes up with a lackluster performance that in his next fight though.

I don't care much for him...

what I do care about is what is NEXT for the WBA titleholder!
I want to see negotiations with the winner of Wlad / Ibragimov!

Skelton isn't an easy opponent to look impressive against - he was doing a lot of holding and hitting, especially in the early rounds. That being said, Skelton was hurt at one point, and I was disappointed that Chagaev didn't move in for the KO when he had the chance. But maybe he was tired from all the holding and leaning by the bigger, heavier Skelton.

Chagaev probably had some ring rust, so I think he'll do better in his next fight.
