If Oscar really wants a tune-up to prepare himself against what Floyd has to offer, he should take Paulie Malinaggi. It wouldn't be fair considering Paulie is a jr.welterweight but it doesn't matter either way since Malinaggi the stronger guy no matter who he fights.

I would also recommend that fight to be in the East Coast, not in Mexico. Perhaps in MSG, Paulie has fans there and I'm sure Oscar does too.

The second best choice would be Margarito. An all out mexican fight in front of 130,000 mexicans in Mexico. That's the location he is planning to fight originally and with Margarito as the opponent, it sounds good.

steve forbes by far is the closest thing to floyd of those three. He also makes for entertaining fights unlike the other two. Forbes has also fought guys even bigger than Oscar and fought well. I hope forbes gets the fight and think it could actually be a fun fight to watch!!!!!

Have you seen Paulie fight? He may well be faster than Mayweather. I actually the idea of DLH - Malinaggi, Paulie's got heart and has outboxed guys bigger than him (though maybe not as big as DLH). DLH won't fight Margarito so I won't waste words on that even potentially happening

Paulie-DLH will be a very interesting fight to see, wouldnt care about Forbes fighting him even though it would be make so happy to see Forbes end all his dreams about making big money against Mayweather.

See DLH might be laughing and sleeping well at night with all his millions but he wont be remembered as one of the greats because day by day he is ruining his legacy. He could've been so much more but with these bull**** fights, he'll end up tarnishing his career and his outlook by the boxing fans. Please let Forbes or Paulie drop him on his back.

After being part of pay-per-view cards over the years that saw Oscar De La Hoya (38-5, 30 KO) face off, between superfights, with non-pay worthy foes Javier Castillejo, Felix Sturm and, least notably, Yori Boy Campas, Oscar was quoted last week stating that he’d like to do a ‘free’ HBO fight this May as a thank you to the fans.
