I think Margarito is a bad match up for Cotto

Margarito is a "GOOD" opponent for Cotto!!! Good in the sense that it will be an exciting bout. Both will have thier moments. Let me tell you, I saw Antonio Margarito "LIVE" at the Garden. That is one bad ass MOFO! The thing is he starts slow, and starts ****ing late in the bout. Costly mistake against Williams. But now I see Margarito with a more sense of urgency. Cotto/Margarito has the makings FOTY. One thing people forget is that Cotto is a "NATURAL" Southpaw, but fights Orthodox. Margarito has 4 losses to Southpaws (Daniel Santos, Rodney Jones, Larry Dixon and Paul Williams).....look for Cotto to switch back and forth.

Cotto should win. Definetely.
My main concern is if he switches off like he did in the middle to late rounds against Mosley. Because Margarito, may fight a **** fight. But he can end it with his uppercuts. Which i think is his best punch.Comment

Margarito holds all the physical advantages in this fight with the exception of handspeed. He has superior stamina, power, workrate and a far better chin. He holds a 4" height and 6" reach advantage over Cotto. Cotto granted has better boxing technique and is generally faster but I don't think those two attributes alone will save him from being TKOed by Margarito. It'll be the biggest, strongest and most aggressive opponent that Cotto will have faced in his career and I think he'll come up short. Margarito by a late TKO.Comment

And Cotto fights great going backwards, just as Mosley... And he's got a stiff jab and Margarito has poor defense, so i wish Margarito a ton of luck trying to apply relentless pressure against Cotto, he's gonna need all he can get.Comment
