I don’t have a problem with people not liking a boxer I happen to like. Everyone has a right to an opinion. Even the posts that fail to offer anything more than “So and so is weak because I said so” doesn’t bother me. I just ignore them.

The only thing that does bother me is when people lump together boxers from a region or race. Just like any other person, boxers are individuals with separate personalities and attributes. To say all Mexican, Eastern Europe, Black, or Asian boxers are a certain anything is stereotyping and shows ignorance. Judge these athletes as individuals, not as a group.

Boxing is the one sport where race, religion, or culture should not matter. It’s about two warriors training their hearts out, pushing themselves beyond their pre-conceived limits, and then putting everything on the line to contend. They do this not to prove their race or region is better than anyone else, they do this in the sprit of competition and to prove to themselves that they are truly championship material.

To be frank it wold be quite amusing to see Wlad beat up on a couple of american prospects and then see the whole forum cry about how all the american heavyweights are playing in NFL now.

But, alas, there are not american prospects to even see that.
