    Julius Peppers vs Jonah Lomu

Football vs Rugby, Peppers vs Lomu.

Who would win a boxing match between these two goliaths of their sport? Both are agreed apon as the best representatives in boxing from anyone in their sport. So, I want to know who you think would win this hypothetical situation if it ever happend and why?

    Jonah Lomu
    6'5 250 lbs
    100 meter dash in 10.8

    VERSUS

    Julius Peppers
    6'7 283 lbs
    40 yard dash in 4.68

Last I heard Jonah was seriously ill.

I'd take this guy from Rugby.

Lomu had a necrotic kidney disease that would have killed most normal people, but in his prime he was ****ing awesome, stronger than most forwards, but with proper sprint pace.

The main difference between Football and Rugby atheletes is in how they are trained to perform. American football needs massive power over short periods, its a fantastic tactical game, but one that allows breaks for recovery. Rugby players need to be able to run up and down for 40 minutes a half, with no break, something many footballers would not be able to do, they are trained for explosive bursts.

The thing about Lomu was, he could do both (in fact several NFL clubs were interested in him). As for the fight, the longer it went on, the more it would suit Lomu

American football = imense power for short bursts

Rugby Union = power, less peaks but for 80 minutes

Lomu could do both, a was a true freak and had offers to play football

Lomu would have been brilliant at ALL SPORTS.

LOL. Personally if I was England full back I'd have two footed him. You aint stopping that.

The great thing about rugby union, a bit like boxing and mma, is that there is room for all shapes and sizes. You can be very strong and short (and play prop), be built like a basketball player (lock), in between but with more speed (back row), then the smaller quick guys normally play in the backs. With professionalism, you now get backs that weigh more than forward from 40 years ago. Lomu played against England and found himself marked one on one with a 180lb player and literally ran over him!!!!!

To be fair that guy had zero chance of putting him down. He was stood stock still and had no impetus going into the tackle. It was like a cartoon.
