I think floyd mayweather has incorperated alot of roy jones moves,
He throws the exact same lead right hand, but floyd also throws the hopkins variation.
Floyd also uses the exact same lead hook, the gazelle punch that floyd patterson used, roy jones used that alot, floyd has also perfected that
these moves are special because they are non telegraphic leads.
These fighters have these techniques as openings next to their jab, which makes them so hard to fight.

I think floyd has brought many techniques to a next level and uses all types of defence, conventional/philly shell in conjunction with his reflexes and footwork, and doesnt rely just on reflexes and athleticism like roy used to in his prime.

Which is why i think floyd is a better fighter overall, and has less chance of losing in his prime, and most importantly past prime.

but its close. Really close. both geniuses, but if you want to be inspired use floyd , his technique is blueprint of your goal as a boxer, doing any type of defence, blocking -parrying -footwork, jabs sometimes combos, efficient, smart, adaptable, ^_^.

Roy would pound the living piss out of Mayweather. It is not even fair. I would settle for Roy vs. Pavlik maybe at 168 (that would be interesting).
