        tough matchup

but im rooting for ROY JONES JR !
I wrote up a nice article on this.

His main problems are stamina leading to two things.

Poor defence, he stands there on the ropes doing nothing. A half poweful guy would knock him out.

And its making him a lesser finisher than he once was. I doubt he can finish a guy like Calzaghe, if hes hurt.

No, it has something to do with Jones being a smarter, older fighter and something to do with Trinidad being a tough S.O.B.

Can you imagine how much energy it takes to put out someone like Trinidad who goes down in almost all of his fights and gets right back up?

Jones doesn't have that energy left in him anymore and Tito's left hook was harder and faster than he expected, he could've been caught by it if he got overly aggressive. So Roy played it safe, didn't take any chances and won a wide UD.

Why would Roy keep talking about how he was going to KO Tito in fo' come fight time unless he tried to? He saw that Trinidad had more left in him than Roy expected so Jones took it easy.

          Give some credit to Trinidad.

I'm sure Jones could've knocked Tito out if he wanted to brawl but then he would've given Trinidad a chance to land that left hook.
How many times did Roy get caught flush in the face in that fight? Not many. Trinidad only landed to the body and that didn't affect Jones at all.

Wonder if he knows that he could cause more damage by landing an accumulation of shots than by a one shot knockout.

His defense seemed much better in this fight, he did look like he took a page out of Winky's playbook at times.
