Max Kellerman made an interesting point last night............

When he was discussing DLH-Trinidad as a "card that can be played at anytime". Oscar's last bout, in December will be a rematch of one of his most controversial. It would still probably hit 1mil in ppv buys. Wouldn't be a bad going away fight as well. What do you think?

Wouldn't be a bad fight. Though Oscar won't goto 160 and Trinidad won't go below 160

Max is right, it will always be a guaranteed money maker. The biggest problem is that they are too far apart in weight right now.

I doubt that will be a good bye fight.

Delahoya won't fight Trinidad again, he's going to concentrate on the smaller guys who can't really hurt him.

It's true. That is shameful for boxing.

DLH-Trinidad would be exactly the same thing Jones-Trinidad was about.
                Money and nothing else. Meaningless.

If De La Hoya managed to beat Mayweather, imagine what that fight would generate, at any weight.

Regardless, even when (if) he loses to Mayweather, as a going away fight, I'd still be interested in that fight. I'd prefer no rematch with Mayweather in between, though.

Yeah the card can be played anytime and a lot of people will be interested but I think the weight will be an issue.
