I've been watching boxing for a long time and I can't ever remember seeing a 12 round fight with no belts on the line.

Usually when it's a bull**** fight like this, there's a bull**** belt tossed in to justify 12 rounds. I figured it would be whatever nonsense belt Jones won in the Hanshaw fight but, nope. It was a %100 non-title fight.

then you havent been watching much boxing becuase it happens the most recent one I can quickly recall is Holyfield vs Oquendo but I am sure there are alot more than that.
12 round non title fights do happen research it its the truth.

There is a rule in boxing that title eliminators are fought for 12 rounds.

For example Pavlik-Miranda was scheduled for 12 rounds, same goes for Wlad-Peter and there was no title on the line at all, there are plenty of others as well

your correct that it wasn't a title fight, but it was a WBC Middleweight Eliminator thats why Winky got the Middleweight title shot vs Jermain Taylor
