I wonder if Golota could beat Chagaev if he fought him similar to the way the Skelton did, not giving him any space and taking advantage of his strength and punching power.

I was hopeful that Mike Mollo would become a serious heavyweight contender, so I'm disappointed in what happened last night. I didn't know he was a smoker, but that explains his lack of stamina.
At best, Mollo will be a journeyman in the years to come. Because he's a Don King fighter, he'll probably not fight again until his contract runs out, and he'll have gone downhill by then. When a Don King fighter loses, unless he's a former champ, King doesn't usually get them another fight for a long time (if ever), except sometimes as a late replacement. Examples are Owen Beck, Serguei Lyakhovich, Larry Donald, and Ray Austin. The inactivity causes their boxing skills to further decline.Last edited by The Hammer; 01-20-2008, 12:43 PM.Comment

Has anyone stepped in a ring here? You guys can judge all you want but when it comes down to it EXPERIENCE is what gave Golota the fight. Yes, MOLLO was gased but he badly messed Golota's face up and would have won that fight if he just gave himself some space after round 6 fighting from the outside rather than in. Mollo's coming back from a defeat to fight the best and will regain composure to win his title. I can guarantee thatComment
