I would love to agree with you but no, Jones is shot. Prime Jones beats most fighters if not all but this is a different version, and Calzaghe will most likely fight this version because its "this" version now.

There's no way Hopkins beats Jones at the 1 and done strategy...........something both guys have relied on for years. Also I'd favor Calzaghe to beat Jones simply because he never stops throwing punches.

My point in this thread was........I read too many prospect Hopkins/Jones rematch comments in weeks prior and given what we saw tonight it's absurd.

Roy looks good enough to deal with 80% of the opposition out there.

Jones beats a small guy who hasnt fought in 3 years (since getting has ass handed to him by Winky) and all the sudden Roy is the top dog again? Wow...some people can't accept reality. Jones cannot beat anyone of quality who is his size. That part has not changed. Hopkins UD.

Roy can always somehow pull it off, but your post I agree with: Roy isn't the same fighter.

We have to remember when Roy was on top of his game neither Hopkins nor Joe wanted any part of him. For Hopkins, I'm talking about a rematch.
