Lacy would be interesting although I doubt that makes it to PPV unless SHowtime does it. Not sure that Tito is taking anything less than double digit million dollar paydays at this point. I think he'd beat Lacy based on what I saw against Manfredo. That said, Tito would really have some issues with Lacy's strength as Lacy is much stronger than Jones. Jones is obviously much faster and sharper but Tito would have to stay on the outside against a huge guy like Lacy. Lacy has diminished enough for me to pick Trinidad over him though

No doubt, big props to Tito.He faded late but looked sharp early. He could still contend with the top dogs at 160 and 168 if he trained hard and stayed focus.....at least for a couple more years. He greatly suprised me and I think Roy was OK but not as great as some are making it out to be....Roy should have been able to get Tito out of there....Period.

I think Tito would have a shot vs brawlers who are more hittable. Roy walked down Tito at times, in a slow manner. But his hands were fast. Pavlik would try to walk Tito down but with not even close to the threatening handspeed of Roy. Plus Pavlik throws more so there's more chance for Tito to get into the brawl he would want.

You got big names (kinda) at 160 that Tito could possibly beat. If he looked this good vs Roy with NO tuneups, I think can could beat guys like Arthur Abraham, John Duddy, and maybe Pavlik. Maybe. Even if not, it'd be a good scrap to watch.

I still think that Tito can compete in the 160 pounds divition. Remember that he loss a lot of weight to get to 170 but he makes it. And know if he can stay there in that wieght and can get a good fight in 160 he can make the weight without a lot trouble bacause its not a lot of weight that it has to loose only 10 pounds. I still believe he can do better in a next fight because this one was his first in almost 3 years.

Lacy looked like absolute garbage vs Manfredo. very lackadaisical performance. and to think, he's a full 5 years younger then Tito.

*only reason I threw Lacy's name out was because the Tarver negotiations broke down, so Lacy still needs a fight, why not Trinidad in later 2008?

I dunno if it could be PPV, or even HAS to be, I just see Lacy as a winnable fight for Trinidad (which you said as well)

because Pavlik, Taylor etc would be too strong.

what ever weight Tito fights next at .. it should be lower then 170 and be vs a Mayorga type of slugger

where Trinidad doesn't have to worry about the superior size speed or defense of his opponents (see vs Winky + Jones)

put him against a slugger where he has more of a punchers chance

You know that i was thinking the same. Some times the fights are determined by styles and a think Pavlik style is very favorable for Tito. Pavlik is a browler and doesnt have a very good defence and take a lot of punches and by the way Tito look at that weight that we all know its not his and with a 3 year layoff and assuming that in a next fight he can do better because is going to be his 2 fight i think he can beat Pavlik. Look what i am saying a think he can beat Pavlik that has beat taylor but i don think that he is abble to beat taylor.

I think that I would see Tito having trouble with those long right hands from Pavlik. That said, Pavlik leaves his chin out there so it would at least be interesting

I still say Tito is too small for Pavlik who is a Super Middleweight posing as a Middleweight himself. Abraham might has too tight of a defense. Maybe he should go after Sturm.
