You don't think it is a benefit to boxing fans that Cotto fights someone who will automatically try to somewhat imitate Margarito's (his next opponent) style? I think it will make Miguel sharper for when he fights him, which will provide a better fight, and better entertainment, meaning that the Gomez fight really will be for the benefit of fans.

Cottos wba strap used to be collazo's.
hatton took it from collazo, he vacated then quintana and cotto fought for it. and cotto has had it since. collazo should of definately gotten a shot before alfonso gomez.

could Collazo beat an elite though?

he did get owned in a very one sided fight vs Mosley.

would like to see Collazo/Cotto happen but what to you guys rate Collazo's chances?

because he lost his title to a moving up Hatton, and wasn't competitive with Mosley

injuries or not .. the above ^ 2 performances speak for themselves

I don't see any way Collazo could beat Cotto.

                Did he win?

                I don't think he deserves a shot.

why not, it was once his belt. hatton just barely edged him a lot of people had him even winning. mosely did win a very easy decision but word is that collazo broke his hand.
mosely at no point had collazo hurt. he probably landed more power shots against cotto than vs collazo.
