    Impressed with Vargas against tito

With an ugly 1st round that had him down twice. I'm very suprised how calm he stayed with all the adversity in that first round in such a huge fight against a much more experienced skilled fighter. Vargas came back and landed some solid shots and put tito on his ass in the fourth round then dominates the fifth round. I really think the two intentional low blows and the third that tito hit him with played a huge factor in how the fight ended up. Those blows take alot out of you. I get excited every time I see young vargas fights. Too bad he was badly mis-managed. I still find it amazing he started off 17-0 with 17 ko's. Within his first 24 fights he had campas, marquez, winky, quartey, trinidad, and de la hoya. That is very respectable. He was taking on the best the world had to offer no doubt about that. If i remember right i think he was the most exciting fighter at the time with the most buzz around him. Too bad it ended the way it did. Mis managed. Just wanted to give my thoughts about the tito vs vargas fight and vargas himself.

3 point deductions, 6 knockdowns, 4 fouls, great crowd, two undefeated fighters, one of the most dramatic fights I've ever seen. I think its in my top ten

You can argue that was Vargas at his best considering the circumstances.

Talk about having confidence in your fighter. Now at 29 years of age he is shot out of a cannon. Was it really worth it to move him so fast so quickly?

Vargas made a LOT of money so I guess it was worth it. Even with more seasoning I think he was too flawed of a boxer(footwork and chin) to probably have beaten Tito or Oscar down the line. Good career though

Watch a fight like that, and you ask yourself. How the **** did he keep getting up!? lol

Anything Vargas had, I think it was left in that and the Oscar fight. Vargas with his head up style, going against Tito....You can tell Vargas' people actually thought Vargas was gonna out muscle Tito. Vargas didn't adjust to Tito's speed or anything. He tried to hook with him and endure his punches an everything. **** was crazy
