it just doesnt seem to be there, look at his third fight with Tarver a snoozer for sure in which Tarver himself wasnt doint much but Roy didnt want to mix it up in fear of being knocked out again, after that fight Roy makes the excuse that his father would have got all of the credit had he won, what a crock of **** if I heard any.
During the weigh in at the thought of Tito being 2 tenths over Roy immediatly jumped up and grabbed the mic demanding the use of Grant gloves, must have been something on his mind for a while now, to me that is a sign that Roy doubts what he has left in the tank as well, I dont think its a good thing to be worried about the gloves going into a fight like this, and if its for advantage purposes only, why would he need any advantage? Roy is still the bigger man the faster man the man who knows how to box hit and dont get hit, probably the stronger man why would the gloves even be a factor?
I think Roy knows for sure he is done, his fights with Hanshaw and with the Prince neither of those guys are close to a Tito Trinidad, and even though Tito did get dominated by Winky, he wasnt starched the way Jones was he wasnt brutally knocked out the way Jones has been, even when Hopkins stopped Tito, it was the corner who threw in the towel when Tito got back up.
Roy was just knocked out clearly plain and simple didnt beat the count twice, my prediction for this fight is an early dominant win for Rjj, but with this **** in the mix, with Roys concerns about the gloves I am beggining to wonder if Jones beleives he can beat Tito, if he has any doubts, Tito will win this fight, boxing is not a sport where you can afford to have doubts about yourself the moment that happens you lose that simple.
