Dwiens- I think you are missing the point a little man. Jones went YEARS without even losing a ROUND. All those fighters you named are not even in the same world as a prime Roy Jones.

And I think YOU are missing my point. I don't give a **** who's career was better... at all.
I'm asking who has had the most dominant fights in history (and it had to be fights that were supposed to be competitive, or for a title or something. I'm not interested in pro debuts or something like that). I KNOW that Jones was good in his prime. He didn't lost very many rounds at all except for against Montell Griffin. His first real hard fight after Griffin I was Tarver, and then the end came. But that is not what this thread was supposed to be about.Comment

Really...so fellow champions Reggie Johnson Lou Del Valle, Virgil Hill, Julio Gonzalez, Clinton Woods, John Ruiz and a slew of others were soft touches? And I think YOU are missing my point. I don't give a **** who's career was better... at all.

Based on your previous post, I'm assuming you didn't watch much Jones in his prime either.Comment

Okay... let me break this down for you.
His first hard fight (as in it was difficult for him to achieve victory) was Griffin I. He dominated the rest of his opponets up until Tarver I. Got it?
Defensive much?
I think Jones Jr.'s resume is way underrated. People say he didn't fight anyone (because he beat prospects, which is an automatic, "oh they weren't good anyway"), but some of the fighters he did beat have turned into really good fighters.
Gonzalez and Woods have become pretty big forces at 175 since he left. Ruiz was always a good heavyweight.
Hill was past this prime though.Comment

Virgil Hill and like Runwknives said, Clinton Woods.
His fight against Toney never really impressed me the way it did some other people. That's maybe the least amount of punches I've seen a guy take en route to losing every round. They always show that clip of Jones hitting Toney while he's posing as one of the highlights of his career. It's like look Jones pw3ed Toney, yeah baby.Comment

That's why it isn't in my complete domination fight list...Virgil Hill and like Runwknives said, Clinton Woods.

It is still pretty damn impressive that he won every single round against the P4P #2 James Toney though, who was undefeated at the time.Comment
