No. not possible. At this point people won't even give him credit for wins.

That's bull****. He won't be p4p no. 1 again for 2 reasons - 1, there aren't really the fighters at or around his weight division to warrant him becoming p4p king again and 2, he ain't good enough!! People gave him loads of praise for the Hanshaw win anyway, and who the **** was he!?

        No.
Agree. Its a simple as that. There is no way in the world RJJ will ever be world PFP again. This must be coming from some crazy fantasy or something. This is like the Tyson fans saying that he can come back and be heavyweight champ again. This is crazy talk. This thread should be locked.

From a skill standoint, Roy has a lot more left in the tank then Mike Tyson at 39 years old. Tyson couldn't even beat Kevin McBride

My point was if he beat Tito and Calzaghe convincingly

Let's say he beats Tito convincingly. Calzaghe beats Hopkins with ease, then Roy ends up beating Calzaghe in a impressive performance.
If Roy comes to terms with the fact that he is not the same fighter he use to be, I believe he could.

Roy needs to come to terms with his age. He is not shot, and he has not taken much punishment in his career, so he still has quite a bit left in the tank, he just doesn't have his reaction times any more.

His hand speed is still there. His combinations are still there. His power is still there. His foot speed is still there. He has all the tools he needs to be p4p #1, but he needs to use them correctly.

If Roy adopts a slow methodical style like Hopkins, he can without a doubt become p4p #1 again.

People way underestimate Roy. Calling him shot to bits, and what not. That is not true, he is not shot to bits, he simply got older and his reaction times slowed down. He still has better reflexes than the majority of fighters fighting today, but he does not have the reflexes to fight in the "Roy Jones" style any more.

With that said, I doubt Roy is humble enough to realize that he needs to change his style.

He still could not be. Where is Winky Wright? He beat Tito convicingly, and he dropped off the map. Beating a washed up Trinidad doesnt mean much. This fight will only determine who is LESS washed up IMO. In the case of Jones, I hope we dont have another Holyfield case on our hands of guy who holds on to a dream and doesnt have the sense to call it quits.
