no because they would claim mayweather will be out of his prime floyd will be 31 soon so is mayweather the one trwing something that could be valueble for his career.I thought that just meant that he thought that Cotto should go after a real option instead of wait for Mayweather, back when the stance was the Floyd was on vacation.
We'd all like to see Mayweather-Cotto, but it's obviously not happening, so what I got from that is Horus would rather see Cotto make a move at making his name bigger at 147 to force a fight. That's how I interpreted it.Comment

Well either way... Mayweather is not fighting Cotto right now.
So Cotto can either,
1. Sit on his thumb.
2. Fight the big names, and get the general public to believe that he is the #1 welter instead of Mayweather, which may eventually force a match. The more Cotto does, the better the chance becomes that Mayweather fights Cotto.Comment

The ratonale shouldn't be that way, though. We all know that Cotto has already worked his ass off to get to this position. And now people just lightly throw out the notion that he should basically clean out the division before he's worthy of Floyd's attention? Please...Well either way... Mayweather is not fighting Cotto right now.

I sent you K for this. Horus is a funny dude but this was awesome.Comment

which is what most dudes think he should do too. But why are we able to say how much it sucks that Floyd is fighting De La Hoya instead of Cotto? Thats all we are saying. I dont understand the reason or purpose of this thread.Well either way... Mayweather is not fighting Cotto right now.

It's not rationale.
Don't you think it's ****** that Cotto is basing his whole career from this point forward on whether or not he beats Mayweather?
If he isn't basing his whole career on this, then why shouldn't he go after the other big names in the division? If he does, then he
1. Improves his legacy of his career.
2. May force Mayweather to eventually fight him.
Even if #2 doesn't work out, #1 can't be bad for Miguel, can it?
Lol, I don't know the purpose of the thread, to be honest.Comment

that's leaving all the work to cotto and if this happens mayweather will be **** by the times it happens the boxing world id hoping for floyd to fall and it won't be on defeat it will be on how cotto will be more respectedComment

The whole logic is flawed. The pressure should not be on Cotto. It should have been on Floyd to step up. What I see people like you doing is taking an obvious mistake on Floyd's part and trying to rationalize it with excuses. I'm a Floyd fan, and I don't really like Cotto.. but I know when to just fae the facts. Cotto is ready for him now. If he hasn't forced Floyd to fight him by now, then you're basically saying that he should clean out the division. Is that what guys have to do these days to get a frickin shot at a big fight? It's not rationale.
