Does Chambers have a reasonable chance?

Who thinks Chambers has a shot at beating Povetkin? He might surprise me, but I have a tough time visualizing it, since Povetkin just rolled right through Chris Byrd, another light hitting slickster.

I wasn't going to make a poll on who people think is going to win, because it is obvious who the heavy favourite is.

Povetkin is the favorite, but he isn't an overwhelming favorite. Of course Chambers has a chance. I wouldn't bet on him, but no one would be screaming upset of the year if he won.

Chambers has excellent boxing skills. He has good hand speed and quick head movement. His punches are sharp and accurate, and as they accumulate he could win a TKO (like the Rossy fight).

Povetkin is one of my favorite fighters, but this won't be an easy fight for him. Yes, Chambers has a chance.

I agree. Chambers can really fight. His biggest obstacle is that he probably doesn't punch hard enough to win by KO and he'll have to be a clear winner to get the decision in Germany, where they have big expectations for the talented Povetkin.

Chambers is one of the most skilled HW out there. He has a chance to win by UD

According to my non-scientific calculations donw in my parents' basement Chambers has a 13.847262154218% chance of winning and a 1.837365 chance of a draw.

there is also a 0.82727756% chance of a NC.

Byrd still has his handspeed & caginess, but his legs are shot.

Povetkin hasn't fought a guy who can fight well on the move for 12 rounds like Chambers so think he has a definite shot.

That being said, still favour Povetkin, but it's a good test & a very interesting matchup.

Povetkin is vulnerable to the jab but Chambers better be in excellent shape and fight all 12 rounds.
He's got a shot he just can't get discouraged when Povetkin keeps coming and coming.

It wouldn't surprise me if Fast Eddie pulls this one out. So yes I would say he has a very reasonable chance.
