    and i quote Roy

"A decision isnt good enough, if I get the decision I should quit boxing, Anything other than a knockout... in this particular fight.... is unacceptable"
--roy jones jr 2 days ago

"It's just my philosophy, and knowing Roy, knowing his demeanor through all the years of training him, I see something in him for this fight that I haven't seen before. I relate it more to the second fight with Montell Griffin.”
    -Alton merkerson, Roys trainer

    Its lookin rough for trinidad

So my question here is, could he take over that division if not, who wouldn't he be able to beat?

What crack are you smoking mate? SMW is the second strongest behind welterweights. Potentially Six fighters could be world champions.

If Roy Can't beat Danny green, Erdei or Woods. Than dont go to SMW.

To me LHW is one of the weakest divisions. Only B-Hop and Dawson are there.

Kessler would knock Roy out in a couple of rounds. Hes a bigger puncher than both Glen Johnson and Tarver.

You should be asking yourself the same question. If think you're forgetting about the 122-135 divisions is this sport.

Calzaghe, Kessler, Froch, Bute, Mundine, Miranda, Green, Andrade, Lacy among others with Taylor and Pavlik soon to follow. Okay, sure.

Have you ever seen a Calzaghe fight? 5 years ago Roy would take him, and Roy still has good hand speed, but the footspeed and movement is not there any more. To say the fight wouldn't even be close in favour of Roy is a little rediculous.

135 is not very deep. You have Juan Diaz and then who? Casamayor? Please. Katsidis is still unproven, David Diaz is just waiting to lose. Who else is there?

September 7 2002, Roy Jones Jr. vs Clinton Woods: 6th round TKO for Jones.

and if you saw that fight, jones played with woods like nothing. it seemed like a #1 ranked fighter against a #300 ranked fighter literally.

Proves that this is all hate talk and you'll say that anyone can beat jones just for the hell of it. Jones hasn't been the same since he had to lose 25 pounds from his heavyweight fight. but he will be soon enough. and he can beat green and erdei, handely I might add.

gavinz1970, you have my division ranking in your sig. I'll take that as a complement.

It was either that or Mnuburner22's top 10 p4p with Paul Malignaggi in it.
